Good questions, clear answers
Let’s make reading
feel less complicated.
Find out what LipiLeap is, what’s being developed and how the approach is intended to support families and educators.
What is systematic synthetic phonics?
It is a structured approach to learning how written letters represent speech sounds. Children learn a planned sequence of sound–letter connections, then blend those sounds to read words and segment words into sounds to support spelling. Previously taught learning is revisited as the sequence grows.
What ages is LipiLeap designed for?
The intended audience is children aged approximately 3–8, with starting points guided by readiness and existing knowledge rather than age alone. The programme is also being designed with reading intervention in mind. Individual learning needs should be discussed with an educator.
Is LipiLeap available to enrol in now?
LipiLeap is currently in development. This website introduces the proposed approach, resources and enquiry pathways. Course dates, pricing, subscriptions and school implementation details will be shared when they are confirmed.
How will it support multilingual Indian learners?
The design priorities include familiar contexts, culturally relevant stories, clear English pronunciation without accent shaming, and parent guidance in familiar Indian languages. Specific language support and materials will be announced as they become available.
Will my child need to learn a different accent?
No particular accent is presented as the goal. LipiLeap aims to support clear speech sounds for reading while respecting the languages and accents children bring. Pronunciation guidance is being developed for the learning context.
Are the curriculum and eight-step framework final?
No. The stages, sound progression and Hear–Feel–See–Link–Build–Blend–Read–Recall framework are provisional and subject to academic review and pilot feedback. We are not claiming programme-specific validation or guaranteed reading outcomes.
What is a decodable reader?
A decodable reader is a book or passage carefully matched to the sound–letter patterns a learner has been taught. It lets children practise working out words using their phonics knowledge. The LipiLeap reader collection is in development.
Can schools request a demonstration?
Yes. The school demonstration page provides a request form for an adult school representative. This preview currently demonstrates the form experience; it does not send a booking or confirm a meeting. The team will enable live enquiries before launch.
Will there be teacher training?
Teacher and tutor guidance is planned, including delivery routines, sound modelling, assessment and home–school continuity. Training formats, dates, fees and any completion documentation have not yet been confirmed.
Does the website collect children’s information?
There are no child accounts on this website. All enquiry forms are for adults and ask you not to include a child’s name, school records, diagnoses, photographs or other identifying information. The current local preview does not submit enquiries to an external service.
